2017 Feliz Creek Rosé of Carignane

Regular price $23.00 $23.00

Provincale Rosé’s cooler cousin just showed up with a touch more color, texture and gumption. Wild berries. Garrigue. Freshness!

It cannot be overstated how crushable this wine is. Chill it down and pull some corks. If your dad still thinks that rosé is for women, pop this bad boy at a BBQ and get him on the fun train. #realmendrinkpink

Pro tip: It's 2017, PLEASE don't relegate rosé to the summer time, especially not this one.

Vineyard - Feliz Creek Vineyard is dry-farmed by its new owners Wendy and Jason as of 2015. These head-pruned vines are 80-100 years old, and likely have some Grenache, Alicanté, Berger and a few other red varietals mixed into the Carignane-dominiated block. It’s farmed using nothing more than sulfur dust. The vineyard runs along Feliz Creek north-west of the town of Hopland. Loamy soils run along the creek through the vineyard and a warm dry climate make this old river bed unique terroir.

Method - The fruit is picked at 20 brix so the wine has intense acidity. The whole cluters are foot-treaded in the picking bins and left to macerate overnight when the juice picks up color and texture before being dumped into the press. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless tanks, the wine spends 5 months in tank before being bottled for your drinking pleasure.

Unfined, unfiltered and untouched. 15PPM of sulfur is added to this wine at bottling - 28 cases produced / 12% Alcohol.
